Sandwich and Sons Edmonton, A - huge and satisfying sandwiches!
Bread +/- meat/protein + sauce +/-veges = sandwich. An equation that worked awesome in kitchens and lunches since someone invented sandwiches by slapping bread and probably cheese or sausage together hundreds of years ago. It can be simple, it can be complex but sandwiches are a go-to comfort food for many and since we were hearing good things about Sandwich and Sons (and an epic BLT with a tower of bacon on their menu), on a random Saturday we stopped by to have lunch.Monday, 10 August 2015
Bachelorette party and Cactus Club downtown, Edmonton, AB - spicy Cajun fare!
For my staggette/engagement/bachelorette party, the gals took me to Cactus Club downtown for dinner, drinks! All the lingerie, pre-drinking and snacking on tasty fare took place at KimChee's place and we made our way eventually to Cactus Club after figuring out all the designated drivers. Grilled salmon macaroni salad recipe and traditional macaroni salad recipe!
One of my favorite pasta salads year round has to be the humble macaroni salad. Its super easy to toss together and makes a great side or meal. It resembles nothing to the limp sad ones you see at buffet tables when you were a kid... macaroni salad recipe I have below is a taste of summertime fun and the grilled salmon version is a tasty twist on the classic... and a great way to use up leftovers! Just remember, just as with any other salads made with mayo or miracle whip, keep refrigerated and toss in the garbage if its been sitting out longer than 2 hours.Monday, 3 August 2015
Red Robin Edmonton, AB - Tasty new Tavern burgers that are easy on the wallet!
We had a giftcard burning to be spent so we called up some friends and headed to family friendly Red Robin for tasty burgers and eats.. but mainly for the tasty burgers and the fact you can bring young squirmy toddlers and babies along and you fit right in with other young families, dating couples and seniors alike! I put in some burgers we tried another time with hubby on an impromtu date night, so its a larger longer post with lots of pics!
