Aberdeen Centre snacks, Richmond, BC - tasty snacks hidden on upper floor!

While we were in Vancouver for a girlfriend's wedding, we had to make a quick snack/early lunch stop at the food court upstairs in Aberdeen Mall.  Wings, HK style milk tea and cream puffs!! (Not a meal you'd see on any Dietician's list, but we're on vacation!)

Culina Millcreek, Edmonton Alberta - local ingredients transformed... into brunch!

One of my favorite places to eat in Edmonton is Culina at the Muttart both for its funky ideas, its use of local ingredients and the ambiance and view of being located right in the Muttart Conservatory.  So when one of my girlfriend's recently had a birthday brunch, we were excited to book it at its sister restaurant close to campus.

Bear's Paw Bakery, Jasper, AB - Tasty baked sweet and savories

I'm not certain when it became a tradition, or if all roads in Jasper just happen to pass by either the original Bears Paw bakery or its second location The Other Bears Paw, but we always seem to stop in for a quick caffeine buzz and end up with a bagful of sweet and savory delights - always justifiable cuz you're on vacation and if you're planning to hit the hiking trails, well, you'll be burning off those calories! ;D

Calgary's Farmer's Market, Calgary, AB - Fresh vegetables, fruits, desserts and opera?!

I love farmer's markets and always try to hit them up if they happen to be open when I'm travelling or visiting.  Calgary has a few, and since this one was close to my Aunt's place.. and when I found out she's lived and worked in Calgary forever and never has visited, well, I had to drag her along and she fell in love with it as first bite :D

Good Buddy Southside Edmonton, AB - Tasty fast Chinese lunch with noodles, fried rice, pea shoots and congee!

I had some relatives drop into town and we headed out for a quick lunch. We headed to the southside Good buddy as my Aunt was hankering for some decent Chinese food and I’m specifically making the distinction of the southside location, as there is also a bunch of restaurants with the same name (and all different owners) in the city and we went to the restaurant in the southside.
