Bacon wrapped scallops and bacon wrapped shrimp with white wine, rosemary butter reduction recipe equals bacon wrapped happiness!

Large scallops and shrimp are super tasty on their own, and wrapping them up in bacon while tasty, takes a bit of timing so you don't overcook the seafood wrapped up inside.  TestKitchenL came up with a simple solution - increase the size of the seafood inside so the cooking time matches with the bacon... bigger scallops and shrimp wrapped in bacon?! Genius!

Chinese Tea Leaf Eggs recipe - pretty marble look on these eggs!

I haven’t had these in a long time… the last was when one of my Chinese friend’s mom had made some and I had these pretty eggs that look like they’re marbleized with tea and have absorbed a bit of cinnamon, star anise, salt and tea from the tea brining mixture.  So today, I tried making them.

My Fries Edmonton, AB - seasoned fries, poutine and chill fires.. all baked with no oil in a special oven!

One of my foodie friends raved about My Fries at a get together a little while ago.  Who doesn't love fries?  But we all hate how fries tend to end up on our hips, bottoms and other areas we like to glare at in the mirror.  So when he told me these guys use a special oven and no grease, no oil... just plain cut potatoes that still end up crispy goodness... I was definitely intrigued.  Well, of course, they also have a slew of toppings that can up the calories like gravy, chili... etc.  But healthy, tasty crispy fries? Sounds almost too good to be true... so we had to go find out!

Homemade cheeseburger recipe... but the burgers are steamed! Yes, Steamed burgers!!

I first saw this on FramedCook’s website and I nearly facepalmed myself because it never occurred to me to steam a burger. And its not like I’ve had the gigantic Chinese steamed meatballs at dim sum... I just never thought of putting it between a burger bun with cheese, lettuce, tomatos, onions, fried egg and the usual burger condiments.  I’ve tweaked the recipe a bit as I was using extra lean ground beef, so here’s my take on a very tasty, moist, seasoned burger… steamed.
